Eaton’s Series G line comprises five distinct frame sizes with rankings from 15 to 2500 amps. Series G affords you the choice of a number of interrupting capabilities of 100 kA at 480 volts ac, in other words 200 kA at 240 volts ac. The typical setting is 40°C. Current Limiting Features
Our Circuit Breakers are current limiting due to their high repulsion contact design and the implementation of up-to-the-minute arc extinguishing equipment.
Cutler-Hammer Circuit Breakers are designed with a switch handle operating device, which also serves as a changing position indicator. The positions displayed are On, Off and Tripped.
The handle slips into the TRIPPED position if the overcurrent, short circuit, under voltage or shunt releases sets-off the breaker. After such a trip-out, the circuit breaker cannot be closed unless the handle is in the “reset” position.
As a supplementary position indicator of the GE through GR circuit breaker frames, on either side of the switch handle there are two windows in which the switching status is color-coded red, green and white parallel to the statuses, On, Off and Tripped, correspondingly.
